Virgin Atlantic Airways is doubling the number of daily journeys from Washington Dulles International (IAD) to London Heathrow (LHR), adding a following daily departure.
The new journey - #56 - is dubbed “The sunset Envoy”, and it will work through October.
Due to take wing on April 24, this is a truly belatedly night departure. almost back from the gate at 11:10pm, VS (Virgin’s cipher) 56 lets you do a broad day in DC, have feast, vault on the aircraft and disembark in London the next day.
The move carrys even more competition to the Washington, DC to London bazaar. Along with Virgin, British Airways, parted Airlines, and MAXjet Airways also fly to London. MAXjet’s overhaul is into Stansted Airport
