Cambodia and Myanmar have fixed to sincere flights between the two countries, home to some of Southeast Asia's supreme cultural materials, Cambodian overseas Minister Hor Namhong said on Wednesday.
"There will be instruct flights from Bagan and Mandalay, which are Myanmar's focal tourist destinations, to Siem pick," he told reporters, referring to the tourist civic near Cambodia's legendary Angkor temples.
"We have the same ethos, same civilizations as we're Buddhists," he said. "We ought to have instruct flights so that we can draw more international tourists to vacation our two countries."
Hor Namhong, who accompanied heyday Minister Hun Sen on a two-day formal vacation to Myanmar, said other instruct flights were intended between the Southeast Asian countries.
The 800-year-old Angkor Wat temple neurosis is mainly responsible for an explosion of tourists to the war-scarred state, which drawed 1.7 million visitors final year.
Cultural aficionados say the alike-aged Buddhist temples in Bagan in main Myanmar are a close rival to Angkor, but a recurring need of infrastructure in the earlier Burma -- muscle cuts are a daily unruly and alien character licenses are seldom accepted -- means they draw only a part of the number of visitors.
Airlines in Thailand have tried to promote a parallel "cultural package" in the state, with flights relating Angkor to the earliest Thai and Lao assetss, Sukhothai and Luang Prabang, and Hoi An in chief Vietnam.
